DBMan SQL Online Demo

We've put together three online demos to showcase the versatility of DBMan SQL. The first is a Relational Database demo, the second is a real estate database, and the third is an image gallery.

Relational Database Demo

The first demo is the online catalog of a bookstore. The demo allows you to browse, search and purchase books (orders will not actually be processed). This database can be accessed by four different types of users, each with different permissions. Note that these types of users are also part of the demo; DBMan SQL allows you to configure any number of user groups with whatever permissions you want.

• Visitors are not required to login to the database to view it. Upon entering the demo site, they are directed to the search form. From there, they can browse and search for books.
• Clients are users who have signed up for an account with the database and login to access it. Users can view the database just like visitors, but can also add books to their personal order list (this list can also be viewed, modified or deleted by clients).
• Agents are users who are given special permissions by the site administrator. Agents can add, modify or delete records (such as books and orders) stored in the database.

Real Estate Database

The second demo is a Real Estate demo. The listings are just samples, so don't try to buy anything. This demo has three different types of users setup:

• Visitors to the site can go straight to the search form without having to login or enter any kind of username/password. From there, they can perform simple or complex searches to find the perfect house.
• Agents are logins created by the site administrator and can add, modify or delete their own records. You can login using agent as the username and agent as the password. From there, you can add new listings, modify only your own listings, or delete only your own listings. DBMan SQL understands the concept of "ownership" and you can setup different permissions for a record owner, then for a regular user.

Image Gallery Demo

Our third demo is an image gallery demo kindly provided to us by one of our clients. This is a much simpler demo, and only has two types of users:

• Visitors can search or add new images to the database.
• Administrators can log in using admin/admin and can add, modify or delete any listing.

As you can see, DBMan SQL can be used in a variety of situations. It's very easy to get started as it's all template based, and you don't need to know any SQL to start building your database!
